**Trauma Informed Collaborative Lived Experience Posts**:
The Trauma Informed Collaborative - created in February 2021 is led by a small group of professionals and service users who are supporting Camden and Islington (C&I) on its journey to becoming a Trauma Informed Organisation.
These posts have been created to work with and lead with this group and specifically alongside the Trauma Leads to further develop, challenge and enrich our commitment to this work.
Lived experience colleagues have been involved in designing this role and will be involved in the recruitment process. Equity is a key guiding principle in the trust trauma informed model. An understanding of the diverse population served by C&I is important and we particularly want to support and encourage people from Black and minoritized backgrounds and any others with a protected characteristic under the Equality Act 2010.
We are looking for two people with lived and life experience of using mental health services that have significant knowledge and experience of working proactively and collaboratively in lived experience work within the NHS& or the voluntary sector.
They will be confident in their abilities to present in meetings and work on policy development and training and there will be support structures in place via the TIC leads but also within the Lived Experience Governance in the Trust.
We welcome motivated and proactive people who can promote the value of lived experience and who are confident to challenge any inequity and inequality.
Each of the 2 posts will be 8 hours per week and will be a fixed term contract for 12 months so we can review and adapt this as a pilot project.
We attach a summary of our Trauma Informed Strategy to help explain our vision and work plan, but we are also available to talk with anyone who is interested in applying.
