Health Education England in East of England is committed to providing outstanding regional training, ensuring it is accessible to all trainees.

To this aimwe plan to appoint fellows to support the development and delivery of learning materials within the emerging East of England Diagnostic Academy for Imaging.The fellowship roles comprise:

- an Early Years ST fellow; dedicated to shaping the education offer for ST’s 1-3
- an Assessment Fellow; focussed on developing formative and summative assessments across the learning programme
- a Neuro-radiology Fellow; working with a Consultant lead to shape the region’s emerging offer for Neuroradiology learning
- a Paediatric radiology Fellow; working with a Consultant lead to grow the Paediatric programme offer
- a Digital Fellow; supporting the adoption of new technologies for learning including CIMAR, a platform selected by RCR which the East of England is keen to adopt.

1. Work with the Faculty to identify learning programme elements and how they can best be supported across the suite of blended learning options:
2. Review images and content on storage suites to assess suitability for upload.
3. Create courses around other content to extend and make suitable for trainees ST1-9.
4. Work with the HEE regional team and the Academy Leadership to develop and promote the academy across the region’s Trusts.
5. Role out delivery of your project across the EoE Imaging Academy
6. Keep a teaching portfolio which includes feedback on your teaching and facilitation skills from senior educators and simulation faculties and develop your skills through self-reflection.
7. To encourage and ensure the use of simulation as a technique to improve healthcare training is widespread in the East of England.

You will be part of our Academy Team tasked with developing and embedding good educational practice within the generic training programme.

The Fellowship cohort will work alongside the extended Faculty of the Academy to take opportunities to contribute across the full programme for radiology trainees and support the development of materials for wider workforce colleagues.

The fellowship roles will have overlap and will complement each other, Fellows will be required to deliver to their given agenda whilst working collaboratively as a group and action learning set to contribute to the ongoing development of the academy.

There is significant overlap between the roles. It is envisaged that each fellow will work 2 days per week (40% HEE and 60 % Clinical).

All of the Fellowships require knowledgeable, motivated individuals with the skillset to be self-directed and innovative.

Evaluation
- We are required to formally evaluate our current generic programmes as well as utilising trainee feedback and mapping to the curriculum.

Development
- You will have the opportunity to assist our academy Faculty with new courses development, as well as suggesting your own.

Research
- You will be encouraged to develop your ideas and lead evaluation of activities with guidance and complete your project within the duration of your appointment

Fellows will be offered funding for one year of higher education:

- A PGCert
- A PGDip (if the trainee already has a PGCert)

A Masters (if the trainee already has a PGDip)

Secondments

Applicants from within the NHS will be offered on a secondment basis only,
agreement should be obtained from their employer prior to submitting the
Salary Progression
Applicants will commence at the bottom of Band 8a with a full-time starting salary of £48,526, with a pay step increase after 5 years’ service.
