As a Garment Technologist assistant, you will support the Garment Technologist in ensuring the quality and fit of samples and production garments across a mix of categories.
Product categories include Men’s, Women's, and Children's both knitted and woven product as well as a full range of accessories.
You will work closely with the Buying and Design teams ensuring delivery is in line with the critical path and the highest standards are maintained.
**R**ole**
Fit sessions:
- Measuring garments
- When required, write up comments during fit meetings, create comment sheets, send comments to suppliers
- Manage garment rail and prioritise with the Critical Path
- Alongside the Garment Tech, manage Shipment Samples - approving (on third party platform, Torque) rejecting and investigating where necessary
- Alongside the Garment Tech, manage NOOS (Never Out Of Stock) and BLANKS styles
- Managing Men’s fits and comments - with garment tech supervision - non urgent styles (Jerseys)
Testing:
- Approve/reject test reports
- Chase test reports
- Use BV portal
- BV portal training
- Approve/reject wash care labels
Quality:
- Monitor returns
Misc:
- Keep critical path updated
Projects:
- Clear out old specs by date / Create new spec library with titled system
- Create fit timetable as well as being reactive to ad hoc fit session as needed
- Creating specs and best practice for accessories - socks etc
- Review testing manual alongside Garment Technologist
- Standardised manual for measurements and ‘extras’ - label placement, pocket sizing etc
