Trainee CNC Operator

**Key Tasks**
Operate machine to finish component parts to company standard
Conduct in-process inspection, ensuring quality of parts are to the required standard
Ensure machines are maintained at the highest hygiene level possible for efficient running ( topping up coolant and oil as required)
Communicate any problems or opportunity for improvement to manager or team leader
Maintain and improve machine efficiencies: perform basic maintenance task to ensure the safe and efficient operation of equipment
Know when a component should be rejected
To deburr the component and finish it to a high standard using marked up drawings
To undertake chemical cleaning when needed
To read andaccurately understand internal drawings
Complete and update job sheets accurately
Cleaning of all components, either in machine or with chemicals
Need to be able to read route cards to get correct cleaning process
Ensuring components are handled carefully to avoid damage
Identify any reject components
**Job Details**
Hours: 35 hours per week. Monday to Friday.
Location: Whitchurch
Hourly Rate bwill increase once training is completed. Training is approx 3 months.
**Experience**
To have previously operated machinery.
Previous experience in manufacturing environment.
**Knowledge**
Visual Checking.
To have used manufacturing machinery.
**Skills**
Excellent hand/eye co-ordination, good eyesight required due to working with small complex parts and some work is done using a microscope.
Follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
Dextrous
- Good with hands; able to manipulate small hand-held instrument accurately.
Able to maintain a high level of attention to detail through the working day.
**Qualifications**
No specific qualification is needed, although any gained in a similar job role will be beneficial.
Training is given in-house combining job shadowing with on the job tuition. The job holder’s learning will be evaluated regularly.

**Salary**: From £10.51 per hour
