**EXCELLENT LIVE-IN HOUSEKEEPER/COOK OPPORTUNITY IN WEST SUSSEX**

**Salary**: £35,000-£45,000 gross per annum, DOE

**Contract**: Full-Time, Permanent

**Status**: Live-in

An experienced housekeeper, you will be able to manage your time effectively and work efficiently whilst maintaining the highest of standards and be an excellent cook who enjoys preparing a range of wholesome dishes such as traditional roasts, curries etc. whilst also being able to accommodate special requests such as dairy or gluten-free meals. Daily duties will include preparing a simple breakfast and lunch for the couple and leaving something light for them to have for dinner. You will also enjoy baking cakes and treats to be enjoyed with tea and ensure that the fridge and pantry are always stocked with all the necessities.

Working hours will be Thursday to Monday, generally from about 8am-6pm, but there is usually an opportunity to take a break in the afternoons. When the home is busier during holidays, flexibility will be required, but the family are very respectful employers who look after their staff exceptionally well.

Accommodation is provided in a lovely stand-alone 1-bedroom cottage, which includes a little terrace Due to the location of the property, a driver is essential for this role.

**DUTIES TO INCLUDE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO**:

- Preparing and cooking wholesome, homemade dishes for the couple and their family
- Ensuring the pantry and fridge are stocked, inventory management
- Keeping on top of cleaning supplies & other household items
- Knowledge of how to care for fine furniture and antiques
- Cleaning including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, changing beds, cleaning bathrooms and kitchen
- Laundry and ironing
- Errand running

**ESSENTIAL CRITERIA**:

- Prior experience working in a similar role in a private estate or household
- Excellent and organised cook and baker
- Empathetic, kind, caring, warm, patient, and thoughtful
- Good eye for detail and strong work ethic
- Proactive nature, ability to work autonomously, yet a good team player
- Loyal, trustworthy, and reliable
- Excellent level of spoken and written English
- Right to live and work in the UK
- Driver with a UK driving license
