We currently require an experienced Therapy Assistant to work within two of our Mental Health Rehabilitation Hospitals in St Helens and Warrington, on a Full Time - Permanent basis (40 hours per week).

This is a fantastic opportunity to be an integral member of our dedicated teams at Draper House & Maple House.
- Maple House - Warrington. 20 bed - All male-MH Rehabilitation Hospital
- Draper House - St Helens. 15 bed - All female-MH Rehabilitation Hospital

**Duties and responsibilities**:
The role of the Therapy Assistant is to work closely with the OT's, and other members of the Therapy Team, to deliver group and one to one recreational activities and interventions.

The aim will be to deliver a range of innovative interventions that motivate and engage individuals to improve their skills and mental wellbeing. There will be opportunities for assessing, intervening and evaluating progress in line with MDT care plans. The post requires someone who is willing to find new and creative ways to work with patients with a range of presenting difficulties. Some work will be on a one to one basis with patients who need individual care, and some work will be supporting patients in groups.

Responsibilities will also include being involved in reducing restrictive interventions (including being involved in managing incidents of violence and aggression where required), good clinical note taking, planning skills, good time management and engagement in department meetings and supervision.

**Training and Development**:
You will work within an identified career development pathway developed through the appraisal process. You will be expected to complete all mandatory training and any identified training needs in addition to this to enhance your role and patient care highlighted within your own personal development plan.

**Salary**: £11.00-£12.00 per hour
