Global OTT Technology
- Our goal is embedding appropriate security / DevSecOps practices in all we do within OTT. Your work will help ensure our streaming and video on demand platforms, globally, remain secure.
- As a Senior you will have a track record of successful engagement, consulting, or delivery, and you will be an authority and mentor for the Global OTT Security team. As part of a team of security consultants you will be given substantial freedom to solve problems and design solutions that meet OTT’s security requirements, working with our in-house security engineering team as well as engineering teams and SREs (Site Reliability Engineers) across the tech stack. Your remit will be to review and improve security maturity within your dedicated area(s) of OTT. As part of an embedded team, you will work closely with other security functions within the Sky Group, and you will be continually growing and learning new things
What you'll do:
- Collaborate with OTT teams to craft secure architectures, identify security gaps that can be exploited, and evaluate the efficiency of existing security controls- Provide domain expertise and consultative security services to business and technical partners through effective communication, using calculated and risk appropriate decision making and challenging teams using constructive criticism or feedback- Own security initiatives from conception through to delivery while working with OTT teams and programme management to ensure they are delivered and realised- Collaborate with Sky teams to understand how techniques are being used against our platforms, and use that knowledge to improve our defences- Lead security planning and design activities such as gap assessments and supplier/tool/service evaluations- Act as a senior collaborator for security incidents
What you'll bring:
- Good understanding of modern web frameworks and their security features and skills to craft security into software products- Excellent technical knowledge of at least some of the following: mobile apps, TV apps, cloud infrastructure, microservices, containers, DevSecOps, etc.- Practical knowledge of security architecture, threat modelling, compliance-as-code, or similar approaches, as well as security risk management principles and related compliance standards & frameworks- Capability for planning and delivering work independently as well as managing teams/programmes when required using an agile approach while remaining passionate about the business priorities
