Job Summary:
**Responsibilities**:
1. Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner at the trade counter.

2. Provide expert advice and guidance on the selection and suitability of hardwood and softwood timber products to meet customer requirements.

3. Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using the company's point-of-sale system.

4. Maintain a clean and organized trade counter area, ensuring products are well-presented and fully stocked.

5. Collaborate with the whole team to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.

6. Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs and providing ongoing support.

7. Proactively identify sales opportunities and promote additional products or services to customers.

8. Assist with inventory management, including regular stock checks and reporting discrepancies to the appropriate personnel.

**Requirements**:
1. Previous experience in a customer-facing sales role, preferably within the timber or construction industry.

2. Knowledge of hardwood and softwood timber products. (preferred)

3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers.

4. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks and priorities.

5. Proficient computer skills, including experience with point-of-sale systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

6. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in processing sales transactions.

7. Physical ability to lift and carry timber products as required.

8. A positive attitude, self-motivated, and a team player.

9. Flexibility to work Saturday mornings or extended hours during busy periods.

10. Side loader license preferred.

**Salary**: £22,000.00-£29,000.00 per year
