Retail Consultant UK - Central England (Home Based)
Are you a passionate and engaging retailer/Area Manager that can demonstrate a partnership approach to external stake holders? Can you be supportive of your colleagues and add value with marketing support and your knowledge of the local area to support drivingsales?
Can you adopt a maintain and grow methodology to your largely trade based retail customers by identifying and analysing your customers’ needs and translating them into concrete plans and actions with regular contact and visits to your client and customerbase?
Are you a retailer that has worked in with a consultative style that wants to take their first step into a field-based role across the central parts of England, or an existing Area Manager that needs a new challenge in a totally new sector that will utiliseyour retail skill?

What does the role involve?
The successful applicant for the Retail consultant opportunity will relate to operational efficiency and effectiveness and sales improvement with strength in relationship building. You will be passionate about retail and your partners and spend time engagingand training the customer within retail. You will be able to conceptualise and project plan with your customer to create and implement the concept. You will also be passionate about support your customer in first line support and sales support after implementation.
What qualities will you need to be successful?
- We are seeking someone that is passionate about retailing principals, within a retail or retail trade environment and is comfortable taking the initiative to build strong relationships to be successful from landing to launching. Someone that has clustermanagement or Area Manager support experience would do well in this role
- Field sales experience is not essential but would be an advantage.
- Strong demonstratable stake holder management experience would be preferred.
- The successful applicant will enjoy collecting and analysing market and competitor information to give positive input to the retail strategy for our client.
- You will need to be proactive and a self-starter to communicate with the relevant decision makers and stake holders to positively benefit your customer base and their requirements.
- You will also be proficient in work force planning to get the right people in the right places to maximise efficiency and productivity.
- A keen interest and ability to generate and develop business is also desirable.
- A minimum of 3 years in a General Manager or equivalent field-based role would be also desirable.
