15 Head of IT Operations

Hybrid - Basingstoke 2 days a week in the office, or Dorking

Reporting to our Chief Information & Digital Officer, our Head of IT Operations is responsible for leading the provision of IT services to Unum UK and its customers, ensuring the availability, quality and reliability of systems and networks.

You’ll provide leadership and guidance to the infrastructure, service delivery, service transition & operations teams across IT and will be accountable for maintenance and adherence to the information security & regulatory requirements necessary to operate the technology within a financial services context.

What sets this role apart will be your ability to work in smaller organisation within a global infrastructure backdrop, and with an ambitious growth strategy to scale at pace you can have a real impact in how we can become more digitally enabled in the future.

To be successful in this role you will an experienced people leader within a regulated environment. Naturally, you will have a broad understanding of IT operations and service delivery, including technologies such as Cloud, SaaS and frameworks like ITIL and DevOps. And you’ll use your expertise to guide key stakeholders through business decisions.
