**Purpose and objectives of the role: -**

**We need an HGV class 1 night trunk driver that can also drive forklifts, to work from 8pm to 6am Monday to Saturday morning.**

**To supply holiday cover for the Night Trunk drivers which includes**

**To distribute/collect pallets promptly to/from depot. You will represent our company in a professional and cost effective manner aiming at increasing profitability and customer satisfaction**

**If holiday cover is not required, you will cover the Warehouse Nightshift**

**Main duties and responsibilities**

**Driving: -**

Deliver/collect a wide variety of pallets to different hubs and through different routes

Follow route and time schedule

Load, unload, prepare, inspect and operate delivery vehicle

Obtain signatures regarding Proof of Delivery/Collection Certification

Complete Tachograph logs and Driver Daily Defect reports

Follow DVSA regulations and Health & Safety standard

**Warehouse duties: -**
- Familiarity with all aspects of the WMS; ensuring that it is maintained to high integrity, so it is fit for purpose in order to produce accurate reports and invoicing for the monthly storage. The system requires to be available for virtual access by customers
- Report any defects within the Warehouse, on Forklifts, etc. immediately to the Warehouse Manager
- Unloading & loading of trailers/containers
- Ensure orders are prioritised effectively to meet customer dispatch dates.
- Ensure compliance of picking & packing to customer requirements and standards
- To demonstrate a full understanding of how warehouse activity impacts on wider financials

**Qualifications**

HGV Class 1 License

Forklift experience required

**Skills**

Proven working experience as a delivery/trunk driver

Valid professional HGV license

Excellent organizational and time management skills

Good driving record with no/minor traffic violations

Physically Capable of opening and closing Curtainsided Vehicles

**Experience**

Holder of an HGV License for a minimum of 1 year preferred

Proven working experience as a delivery/trunk driver

Forklift/Warehousing essential

Pay: £37,700.00 per year
