London, United Kingdom West London NHS Trust Full time

Since launching in 2009, Back on Track has become a well-established successful IAPT service and is one of the three services provided by West London NHS Trust. Our main base is in the heart of Hammersmith near the vibrant market of Lyric Square. We are proud to be in the community and to offer our services to those who are most likely to miss out through more traditional routes. As a result, we run treatment clinics in the community at locations in Fulham and Ravenscourt Park.

Clinical and line management supervision is fundamental to what we aim to achieve with our clients, and as a qualified high-intensity therapist, you will benefit from weekly clinical supervision and regular line management. In addition to this, we operate a daily risk duty system as well as many opportunities for further supervision (i.e. assessments, long-term health conditions, etc).

We consistently offer all IAPT-approved therapies, including EMDR, DIT, IPT, and BCT. To that effect, we are committed to Continuing Professional Development (CPD) of our staff and training in additional IAPT modalities is highly encouraged. We have close links with our neighbouring services (Ealing and Hounslow) and share our CPD events with them, providing an opportunity to link up with our colleagues across the Trust. Over the last year, our staff have attended in-house training in complex PTSD, LTC, OCD, perinatal, ACT, and many others.

We have always had a focus on staff wellbeing and are continuously looking at ways to help staff feel connected with the team. With this in mind, we arrange away days and social events throughout the year to unwind together.

If you are in the process of completing your CBT qualification or awaiting results, you will progress to Band 7 salary upon the receipt of confirmation of successful completion from the board of examiners, effective from the same date.

A typical week for a full-time clinician involves working at least one evening clinic (12pm-8pm Monday to Thursday) and achieving 22 booked, clinical contacts per week. These are mostly treatment and assessment. In addition, there are opportunities to supervisee staff at low and high intensity, facilitate groups, and contribute/lead on service development projects. Through this job plan we aim to create an environment where clinicians develop project management, leadership and supervision skills with us alongside mastering their clinical competence.

You will need experience of risk management and assessment, formulation and treatment of IAPT appropriate disorders. We are keen to fill gaps in experience though, through our comprehensive CPD and supervision programme, and we offer ongoing support via triage supervision and senior duty at all times.
