**Job Title**: Responsible Individual - Children’s Residential Homes
**Location**: Remote (with travel across Greater London)
**Salary**: £50,000 - £65,000 per year (including bonus)
**Contract**: Full-time, Permanent
**Schedule**: Monday to Friday

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced **Responsible Individual** to provide leadership, oversight, and strategic direction across multiple children’s residential homes in Greater London.
This is a pivotal role where your expertise will ensure the highest standards of care, robust safeguarding, and regulatory compliance—while inspiring Registered Managers and their teams to deliver outstanding outcomes for children and young people.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure full compliance with Ofsted requirements, Children’s Homes Regulations 2015, and Quality Standards.
- Provide visible leadership, coaching, and professional support to Registered Managers.
- Oversee safeguarding policies, ensuring safe, accountable practice at all levels.
- Lead homes confidently through Ofsted inspections, aiming for ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ results.
- Manage budgets, staffing, and resources effectively to ensure operational excellence.
- Build and sustain strong relationships with local authorities, social workers, and regulatory bodies.
- Drive staff training, professional development, and performance management.
- Champion a culture of quality, accountability, and child-centred care.
About You
- Minimum 3 years’ senior leadership experience within children’s residential care.
- NVQ Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent/working towards).
- Excellent knowledge of safeguarding legislation, regulatory frameworks, and Ofsted inspection standards.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in compliance, budget oversight, and staff development.
- A valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the region.
- Passionate about improving outcomes and making a lasting difference in children’s lives.
