Healthcare Support Worker Apprentice

Our Healthcare Support Workers work at the heart of our multidisciplinary teams who support our patients by assisting the Registered Nurses in planning, delivering, and evaluating care.
We have roles across the whole organisation from Hull, East Yorkshire, Scarborough and Ryedale and Whitby.
The roles are varied and busy as you will be working a variety of shifts including long days, nights, weekends and bank holidays. We will support you to achieve full training for your core duties including achievement of a National Care Certificate, and we will support your continued development
To be eligible to work as a Healthcare Support Worker Apprentice we expect that you have Level 1 Functional Skills in Numeracy and English or equivalent GCSE levels and have been ordinarily resident in the UK for at least the previous three years before the start of learning.
You will need to be able to communicate effectively with a broad range of individuals, both verbally and in writing; to share our commitment to maintaining high standards in everything we do; and to demonstrate that you can work effectively within a team that behaves in accordance with our ‘Being Humber’ behavioural framework.
**Key Tasks and responsibilities of the post include**:
- Work collaboratively and co-operatively with others to meet the needs of patients and their families.
- Assist the Registered Practitioner in the planning implementation and evaluation of nursing care.
