The fellow will undergo extensive sub-specialty training in diagnostic and interventional electrophysiology including the modern management of cardiac arrhythmias, radiofrequency ablation, implantable defibrillators and complex pacing for arrhythmias and heart failure.

Morriston Hospital provides tertiary cardiac services including cardiac surgery to a population of 1 million in South West Wales. There are three catheter/EP laboratories and a separate pacing lab. Large volumes of conventional and complex ablation take place, together with ICD and biventricular pacemaker implants. The on-call rota is 1:11 inclusive and is New Deal and EWTD compliant.
