My client is a PE backed, highly profitable specialist manufacturer with sites across the UK. Due to additional investment and acceleration of growth an immediate opportunity has arisen for a commercially focussed site Financial Controller to assist theOps Director and Finance Director in an interim basis.
Reporting to the Group FD and Divisional OD this is a key role in the Group. Working with a small team, you will be tasked with initially taking ownership of 'business as usual' reporting and controls but with a focus on increasing engagement and partneringof finance with operations across 3 North West sites. The role will develop depending on your experience and as you review existing processes and reporting improving the financial MI that key decisions are made around. But you will also have to manage certainstandard processes such as invoice discounting and VAT. An example of some of the key responsibilities/projects include:

- Ownership and preparation of key weekly and monthly Management Account reporting & analysis
- Driving the Division's improvement in forecasting & budgeting
- Champion a partnership approach with colleagues across the decision
- Develop dashboard reporting for non-finance colleagues at Director, Manager and shop floor level to improve understanding and decision making
- Identify areas for process improvement in order to speed up provision of Management Information
- Add value around pricing, cost and stock reporting and analysis in a volatile economic environment
- Continue to mentor, coach and develop your team
It is taken for granted that you will have experience in a similar role within a manufacturing or connected industry. Bright and passionate about your work you will also value integrity, honesty and continuous improvement. Commercial with strong analyticaland communication skills you will be used to working in a high volume, fast paced, margin sensitive environment.
Ideally you will be Qualified (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent) but your attitude, experience, and track record will be key.
