Our client, a successful and well-established manufacturer of process instrumentation is seeking a **Procurement Engineering Buyer**to join their team based in**Camberley**.

Reporting to the Head of Procurement, this role will include but not be limited to:

- Finding, auditing, qualifying and managing good quality suppliers with long term agreements
- Fully resolving supply issues for a long-term solution
- Fully reviewing all product groups with Product Management teams in order to take cost out of materials/labour
- Always ensuring a competitive purchase, benchmarking and negotiating at every opportunity
- Validating and forensically comparing incoming quotes to identify best supply
- Generating supplier confidentiality and service level agreements where required, necessary filing onto company server
- Updating MTMS once new supplier is selected including lead time, new supplier codes, prices and batch sizes
- Management of suppliers to ensure the receipt of high-quality goods conforming to specification and maintain targeted OTD
- Developing and maintaining good Supplier Relationship Management at all times
- Demonstrating a professional and mature approach in all circumstances with work colleagues and supply base
- Have the ability to read technical drawings
- Experience in casting and machining commodity
- Time served or HNC or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering
- Excellent written and spoken English and be verbally articulate
- Good ccomputer literacy in MS Office especially Excel & Word
- Excellent administration skills and attention to detail
- Commercial awareness
- The ability to travel globally, and possess a full, clean driving licence
- The ability to use cost comparison techniques
- Experience with Electro/Mechanical components

Ideally, they will have:

- Experience of purchasing and resolving supplier quality issues
- Experience of managing supplier quality issues to full resolution

The following would be an advantage but are not essential:

- Supplier development
- Experience in Oil, Gas or Nuclear sectors
- Creativity and an assertive nature
- CIPS qualification
