The Stable Bar Vintners Ltd are the bar and drinks service at Upwaltham Barns, a beautiful wedding venue in the South Downs National Park.
We are looking for bar staff to join our team for an immediate start, day shifts (Midday to around 7pm) and evening shifts (6pm/7pm to 1am) are available both during the week and at weekends.
The role includes:
- Weekday and weekend shifts.
- Day shifts, from around Midday to 7pm, working the daytime bar and serving wine to wedding guests during the wedding breakfast.
- Evening shifts, from around 7pm to 1am, working the evening bar.
- A permanent zero hour contract, flexible around your availability.
- Regular March - December work, with a very busy Spring & Summer season.
- Some ad-hoc event days in January and February, although we suggest any holiday entitlement is taken throughout these months.
- Comprehensive training.
- £11 an hour, moving to £12 an hour after a six month probation period.
- Holiday pay as per government guidelines.
**Responsibilities**:
- Prepare and serve drinks in accordance with established recipes and procedures
- Welcome and greet customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the bar area
- Handle card/cash transactions accurately
- Monitor customer needs and promptly address any issues or requests
- Collaborate with the kitchen and waiting staff to ensure smooth operation
- Uphold high standards of customer service at all times
Qualifications:
We'd love to hear from applicants with previous bar or hospitality experience, a friendly and positive approach, and an enjoyment of a fast-paced atmosphere. You'll need great customer service skills and a genuine interest in making every wedding special.
It is essential you have your own transport, as Upwaltham Barns is situated in a very rural area with no public transport, and you must be 18+ for bar work.
Any experience with EPOS systems is beneficial but not necessary as training will be provided.
