**Installation Engineer / Fitter**
**Salary**: £13.50 per hour + DOE
**Contract**: Full time, permanent.
Hart Door Systems is a leading designer and manufacturer of automatic door systems including high speed roller doors and commercial roller shutters. Operating from a 20,000 square foot factory and open plan modern office facility, free parking and self-servicecanteen facility, the company has been operating in Newcastle for over 70 years. Now 35 years since we produced our first automatic high-speed door under the internationally recognised ‘Speedor’ brand which is now exports to Russia, middle east, Hong Kongand a host of other countries.
As a well-established and respected family manufacturing business we have ambitious plans to grow and enhance our business which designs, manufactures and services automatic industrial doors across the UK.
We now have an opportunity for an Installation Engineer / Fitter to join our growing team
**Installation Engineer / Fitter - About the role**
Fitter, with the support of a fitters-mate, will work throughout the UK installing full range of HDS product range along with other door types brought in from other manufacturers. In addition, the job will entail servicing and repairing this range of productsthroughout the UK. The role will involve working away from home Monday to Friday and will include occasional weekend working. Working in different countries may also be a requirement of the role, on request.
**Duties will involve but are not limited to: -**:

- Installation full range of Hart Door System product range.
- Mechanical capabilities in repairing HDS range of doors.
- Some electrical knowledge of door operation.
- Ability to work at heights from access platform
- Reading of drawings and technical instructions.
- Efficient planning capability of site visits to customers.
- Completing all customer visits accurately, timely and efficiently.
- Completion of all required documentation and ability to use tablet to both receive and log all competed calls.

**What we need from you**:

- Mechanical skill set background required preferable in the industrial door sector.
- Electrical basic knowledge within the door sector preferred.
- Strong customer facing skills
- UK clean Driving licence
- CSCS and /or SSSTS required.
- IPAF preferred.
- Fork truck skills card preferred.
- Aptitude for physical work.
- Can do attitude.
- Presentable at all times.
- Customer interfacing skills.
