Dispatch Operative

A leading, innovative, producer of high-quality leafy salad in the Southeast of England and Spain, we currently employ 60 full time and up to 80 seasonal staff during peak season, based at our headquarters near Deal in Kent. We look to develop from within where possible.

We are seeking to appoint a committed, enthusiastic individual to the position of:
**Dispatch Operative**

Based in our salad packing facility, reporting to the Dispatch Team Leader.

Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not restricted to:

- Unloading deliveries of raw materials, packaging and factory supplies.
- Accurately loading lorries with pallets of packed product for delivery to depots across the UK.
- Accurately completing paperwork associated with all goods in and goods out processes.
- Adhering to Health & Safety and Food Safety procedures.
- Ensuring that raw materials, supplies and packaging are available to the production teams as required.
- Maintaining a safe and clean work environment in the dispatch area, packaging store, factory coldstores and service yard.
- Any other duties as required.

Rate of pay: £11.63 per hour for the first 48 hours per week, overtime rate is £14.54 per hour.

- Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Effective prioritisation of daily and weekly tasks.
- The ability to work under pressure as an individual and as part of a team.
- IT competency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Can-do attitude.
- Strong work ethic.
- Good attendance and punctuality.

Desirable
- Experience in the food production industry.
- Dispatch/Intake experience.
- Forklift truck licence.
- Logistics experience.
- Proficient spoken and written English.
