**Position** - Maintenance Assistant
**Location** - Preston, to work the North West.
**Salary/Package** - 18,000 - 22,500k (dependant on experience), Van/Fuel Card, PPE & Tools, 24 days holiday excluding banks, Pension.
**Working Hours** - Mon - Friday/7:30am - 4pm, 1/2 hour lunch, **Overtime available - Double time/all the time** Participate in out of hour - (Rota TBC)

**Client**

My client specialise in all types of Health Sector projects, ranging from full ward refurbishments, change of use, general facilities and building maintenance.

**Purpose Of The Role**

To carry out weekly reactive maintenance and PPM work in NHS Trust Buildings, throughout the North West

**Key Duties**
- Undertake general PPM checks including, Fire alarm tests, Flushing water outlets, as well as visual/operational inspection to mechanical equipment such as heating appliance, sump pumps, door access controls etc, and record water temperatures.
- Receive instructions from the supervisor and carry out repairs small to medium repairs.
- Work in partnership with other operatives to complete works.
- Record and complete task sheets, time sheets, PPMS check sheets all via PDA/Smart Phone

**You must have or hold**
- Full UK Driving Licence - No more than 6 pts
- Experience in carpentry, basic plumbing, plastering and tilling, PPM checks (Desirable)
- Knowledge of Health and Safety Regulations. (Desirable)
- Hold relevant training such as Working from Heights, Manual Handling, Asbestos Awareness, Legionella Awareness (Desirable)

We are looking for a conscientious, reliable person capable of working on their own and as part of a team, in a fast paced environment. Progression through the company is possible, with in-depth experience of the role being an advantage, but not essentialas full training will be provided where required.
