**Role Objective**:
Responsible for trading, underwriting and service activities, the objective of this role is to offer consistent quality service to customers, deliver satisfactory and profitable results for the company and develop good business relationship with our broker panel.

**Key Responsibility**:

- Work with other underwriters regarding referrals when required.
- Develop good business relationship with new and existing brokers.
- Underwrite commercial risks / SME within the Broker team. This includes quoting new business, and underwiring existing business (MTAs and renewals). Responsible for servicing a panel of Assign brokers account.
- Negotiate pricing and terms with brokers in line with Underwriting Authority.
- Ensure accurate policy documentation issued to brokers.
- Visit brokers as required to develop business and maintain existing book / cross-selling company’s products.
- Produce claim reports for relevant claims and monthly reports for renewals and provide accurate analysis.
- Identify poor performance accounts and take proactive actions.
- Work with other departments on daily broker / client enquiries and etc.
- Involve in system enhancement and test new & existing products when required.

**Requirements**:

- Essential_
- Over 3-year experience in insurance underwriting within property and personal line.
- Good understanding and knowledge of insurance industry.
- Knowledge and experience of underwriting insurance risks.
- Knowledge of relevant regulatory practices and legislations in the industry.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team while meeting meaningful deadlines.
- Ability to interact with internal & external parties
- Able to communicate effectively as part of a team. Good time management to meet deadlines.
- Good communications and negotiation skills.
- Certificate in insurance (Cert CII)
- MS Office skills such as Excel and PPT etc.
- Preferred_
- Knowledge of SME & Commercial market and products
- Advance Excel skills.
- DIP or above.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
