We are currently recruiting for a Saw Operator for our client based in Sutton Coldfield. As a Saw Operator you will be required to operate the saw to cut materials to customer requirements.

**Salary**: £23,950 depending on experience

This is a straight permanent role.

Day to Day Duties
- Check the material allocated to be cut, length, width, thickness, spec, alloy, grain direction, lot number before cutting
- Check the cut plan, and any additional drawings to agree with advised sizes on sale order before cutting
- Cut and verify parts are within customer required tolerances, using tape, micrometer, and caliper instruments
- Adherence to health and safety at all times
- Program saw for cutting operation.
- Mark each part with hard stamp, grain flow, USD, lot number
- Labels each part with any special requirements
- Performs daily maintenance checks to saw
- Weighs all cut pieces and rems
- Ensures all cut material is on a fit for purpose pallet or skids for safe packaging
- Operates fork trucks and jib cranes when required
- Performs daily safety checks to fork trucks and jib cranes, and vac-lifts
- Manual lifting up to 20kgs

Essential Skills
- Basic mathematical skills including add, subtract, divide, common fractions and decimals
- Experience operating machinery
- Knowledge of a production facility and manufacturing processes
- Willing to work extra to meet deadlines and when the business needs require
- Willing to travel to other sites, including overseas if required
