**Job Title: Head Trainer - GWO Training Centre**

**Location**:Hillington, Glasgow**Salary**: £36,000 - £40,000 per annum (dependent on experience)**Hours**: Full-time, Monday to Friday

**About Us**

We are a leading GWO training centre committed to delivering industry-recognised training for professionals working in the renewable energy sector. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a dynamic and experienced **Head Trainer** to lead our training team and help shape the next generation of industry professionals.

**About the Role**

As Head Trainer, you will be responsible for leading the day-to-day delivery of training, overseeing instructional quality, and helping to drive continuous improvement across our courses. You don’t need direct GWO experience—but a proven track record in delivering high-impact training, combined with a passion for teaching and developing others, is essential.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Lead and manage the training delivery team to ensure consistent, high-quality instruction.
- Deliver a range of technical and/or safety training courses (training and upskilling will be provided where needed).
- Work closely with the Operations and Compliance teams to maintain GWO training standards.
- Support curriculum development and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Foster a positive, learner-focused environment.
- Provide mentorship to fellow trainers and contribute to their professional development.
- Ensure training delivery meets all relevant health & safety and industry compliance standards.

**What We’re Looking For**
- Extensive experience in delivering training in technical, industrial, or safety-critical environments.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire and develop others.
- A team player who collaborates effectively and communicates clearly.
- Proactive mindset with the ability to take initiative and solve problems.
- Genuine passion for helping others learn, grow, and succeed.
- Industry experience (e.g., renewables, engineering, construction, offshore) is highly desirable.
- GWO training experience or certifications are a plus, but not essential—we can provide this training.

**Ideal Qualifications**

**Training & Education**:

- PTLLS / CTLLS / DTLLS or Level 3 Award in Education and Training (required or willing to work towards)
- Level 4 Certificate or Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training (desirable)
- Assessor qualifications (e.g., TAQA, A1) - an advantage

**Health & Safety**:

- IOSH Managing Safely (minimum preferred)
- NEBOSH General Certificate (desirable)

**Technical/Industry Qualifications**:

- NVQ Level 3 or above in a technical trade (mechanical, electrical, etc.)
- Offshore, renewable, or safety-critical sector experience highly valued
- First Aid at Work or equivalent certification - desirable

**IT Skills**:

- Comfortable using digital tools and LMS platforms
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and digital file management
