**About the role**

We have a fantastic new opportunity for a Treasury Accountant to join us at DS Smith, working closely with various teams and stakeholders throughout the DS Smith group and its divisions, and bringing expertise to the business. You'll be controlling the reportingof treasury transactions, including the accounting for intercompany structural loans and working capital facilities, and preparing reconciliaitons of key ledger accounts.

In this role, you will oversee the Group's intercompany reconciliation process and manage the recently implemented Coproess intercompany matching system. You'll be using several systems, including IT2 and SAP, and we'll be asking you to assist with the ongoingdevelopment of these so that we can continue to get the most value out of our systems and processes.

Other responsibilities will include:

- Managing the Group's hedge accounting process, including review of initial hedge set up, hedge documentation and effectiveness testing.
- Liaising with auditors and internal customers on matters relating to treasury accounting and preparing treasury disclosures for the annual report and half year announcement.
- Providing accurate and timely financial reports required by Group Finance, Group Treasury and the Shared Service Centre.
- Supporting the Treasury budgeting and forecasting process.
- Keeping abreast of changes to accounting standards and regulations relevant to financial instruments and ensuring the organisation is aware of new reporting and disclosure requirements.

**About you**
- Fully qualified accountant
- Knowledge of SAP or a similar ERP system
- Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience in a Treasury role with a good understanding of accounting for Treasury transactions
- Experience of management and financial reporting
- Ability to prepare monthly reports and analysis, and complete ad-hoc tasks when required
- Experience using Hyperion Financial Management and IT2 or another Treasury Management system is desirable

**Location**:This role can be based in Caerphilly or London (Paddington). We operate a hybrid model where you will spend 2/3 days every week in the office.
