Teaching Personnel are searching for tutors in Blackburn and the surrounding areas to work as part of mainstream Primary education settings to provide tuition to groups of Key Stage 2 pupils. This is part of our commitment to the National Tutoring Programme,part of the plan to catch up pupils due to school closures.

We are looking for compassionate and patient teachers who are either retired and looking to work part time, or teachers looking to use their skills outside of the classroom environment to make a difference for children in the local area. We have severalschools who will be looking for tutors to join their team from September onwards.

Our tuition is mostly small group and you will be expected to plan and feedback on sessions, which includes reporting on our fully tailored LEAP platform (training will be provided on this). Our support varies from 2 hours to 15 hours a week. Most Primaryschools request tuition 2-5 afternoons per week. As a tutor you will provide support in numeracy, literacy, phonics, writing and key motor skills.

Skills required:

- Ideally you will be a qualified teacher with QTS or a similar qualification
- Or you will be an experienced tutor
- Confident planning and preparing lessons and resources
- Resilience and the ability to manage diengagement and challenging behaviours
- Patience
