This post is a team leader role based within the specialist palliative care team. The team leader will be responsible for the urgent response team, the end of life care facilitators in the co-ordination Hub and the out of hours DNs. The applicant will need extensive experience with end of life care and community working.

The team leader will supervise and develop a team of band 6 and band 5 registered nurses. The team leader will offer clinical oversight and leadership, this will include managing staffing issues such as recruitment, staff well being, retention, sickness and training and development.

Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust (SWBT) is an integrated care organisation with a budget of approximately £600 million and over 7,000 staff.
