**What you’ll be doing**
As a **Project Engineer for Wastewater Non-infrastructure** in the Thames Valley, you’ll ensure that the work carried out by our contractors and consultants who are delivering the capital projects comply with our requirements, providing technicalinput to the project delivery process and verifying that the solution is workable, buildable and meets Thames Waters standards and expectations for design, delivery, and Health & Safety.
The key accountabilities of the **Project Engineer for Wastewater Non-infrastructure** include:

- Co-ordinating the development of project briefs from the needs defined by Engineering & Asset
- Understanding the project risks and putting actions in place to mitigate
- Preparing and assisting technical reviews through the definition, de-risking, and detail design phases of the projects
- Carrying out Technical Assurance checks and auditing contractor activities

**What you should bring to the role**:

- **Be educated to degree level, HNC,** or equivalent in an engineering discipline
- Be knowledgeable and have relevant expertise in**project delivery in process industries**:

- **Have excellent communication**and social skills, be naturally collaborative and confident to effectively communicate with colleagues, contractors, and consultants, and drive forward project delivery
- **Experience in developing technical project solutions** and/or briefs
- **Knowledgeable in Health & Safety in the construction industry** and in particular CDM
- **Have a passion for continuous professional development**and an active approach to driving diversity within engineering in Thames Water
- **IT literate and proficient in the use of Microsoft Office**
