Trainee Artworker

My client in Reading is looking to recruit a Trainee Artworker, someone who has an interest in computer design, who understands how to use a computer and who is willing to listen & learn.. The hours for this role are 08:30 - 17:00 Monday -Friday. This isa great opportunity for someone who wants to use their creativity every day.

**Main Purpose of the job**:

- To process sales orders and create high quality, accurate artwork ready for print.
Main responsibilities of the job:

- Create design artwork to fulfil sales orders including Pre-press work consisting of the generation of.pdf files ready for print.
- Create proof artwork to fulfil sales enquiries including the generation of.pdf documents ready for customer approval.
- Ensure the orders being processed are in either priority order or date order (oldest to newest).
- Quality check own work and the work of others that is viewed.
- Any other reasonable task within the post holder’s skill and ability as required by the organisation.
**Other responsibilities**:

- Other Graphic Design as required, including the generation of graphics for customer signage and updating designs across all platforms as per current customer branding guidelines.
**Main Objectives**:

- Provide an efficient and effective design service for the company
- Provide clear communication to Sales, Print and other departments about job specific requirements (i.e custom colours, fonts or artwork requirements)
