I have an exciting opportunity for a Head of MIS within a Prime training provider based in London who have over 14 years experience in the sector and a Grade 2 Ofsted rating. They deliver a range of adult and young people’s programmes across London andthroughout the South East of England.
They are going through a period of growth and are now looking to recruit an experienced MIS Manager with responsibility for managing, analysing and reporting on funding and learner data.
We are looking for someone who is highly numerate, has strong IT, analytical and communication skills, who is confident using a range of IT tools and who will work closely with the senior management team to facilitate effective corporate decision making. Education(FE or HE) experience is desirable. Must have excellent IT, Data Management, Reporting and Modelling Skills.
The package available for Head of MIS:

- Basic salary up to £50000.
- 25 days holiday plus public holidays.
The role of the Head of MIS:

- To deliver timely funding returns to the funding agencies and Prime partners.
- To line manage the data and compliance teams.
- Ensure there is managed access to comprehensive, reliable, relevant and up to date information and high-quality reporting facilities.
- To advise and guide the Senior management and other staff in respect of a variety of company funding streams and methodologies attaching to learner activity to help shape the design and recording of curriculum to maximize performance and funding.
- To maintain highly developed business planning processes including reporting, assisting with strategic planning for curriculum development and responsibility for the planning and modelling systems.
- To be responsible for using the Company's data cleansing processes to ensure the learner data is compliant with Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA)regulations.
- Systems used in these processes will include Funding Information System (FIS), Provider Data Self-Assessment Toolkit (PDSAT), the Hub and the Funding Rules Monitoring Reports.
- Responsible for European Social Fund (ESF) Data Analysis.
Qualifications, skills and experience required for the role of Head of MIS:

- An appropriate academic or professional vocational qualification at degree or higher degree level.
- To have achieved Maths and English up to level 3.
- Experience of PICS and ProAchieve.
- Advanced IT skills up to at least level 3 with the ability to create and query complex data bases.
- Experience of at least three years in working on government data returns for post 16 funded learners.
- In-depth experience of managing traineeships, AEB, loans and apprenticeship funding streams.
- Ability to lead major change and development as demonstrated by performance in previous positions.
- Experience of effective performance improvement and quality assurance in further or secondary education.
- A sound understanding of the relevant post 16 qualifications and funding frameworks.
- Awareness of a variety of relevant funding mechanisms and income streams and the acumen to ensure cost-effectiveness in the delivery of the Company’s learning programme.
