**Building Surveyor - Newcastle - Up to £36,000 DOE**

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Building Surveyor to join our team.

**What you will be doing**
- You will be responsible for inspecting and evaluating building structures and systems, preparing reports, and recommending remedial strategies
- You will be required to review plans and specifications, provide advice on building regulations, inspect construction sites for compliance with building regulations, and advise your team on the best courses of action
- Prepare schedules of dilapidations
- Prepare schedules of condition
- Be able to schedule works, tender and manage projects
- Ability to write reports with a fine sense of grammar, spelling, and detail
- Communication with clients and guidance on defects and repairs are essential
- Experience with historic and modern buildings from a range of eras, both listed and unlisted
- Survey commercial and residential properties for acquisitions
- In order to meet client requirements, you must be flexible and capable of taking on new service streams

**What you will have**
- Degree in Building Surveying (Minimum 2:1)
- 2-3 years’ experience in Building Surveying
- Maintain a high level of organization, self-motivation, efficiency, and performance
- A self-starter attitude who actively seeks out opportunities.
- Established interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills
- Commercial and industry awareness,
- Confident network building skills
- Experience in both residential and commercial building surveying
