**Our client is a well-established manufacturing business, specialising in assorted electro-mechanical products for multiple industries. They are looking for an experienced buyer to join their team and procure necessary components from existing suppliers,source new suppliers, and build relationships by setting up supplier agreements.**
**Electronics Buyer**
- Use the MRP system to ensure all orders are processed with appropriate suppliers within set budget, quality, and time expectations
- Develop an understanding of supply chain demand and performance against customer requirements by analyzing the MRP system data
- Build relationships with suppliers, both existing and new and negotiate beneficial terms and conditions in line with practices, ensuring all delivery schedules are recognized and met
- Maintenance of data and component information i.e., Bill of Materials and relevant associated information such as price, lead times and safety stock within the MRP system
- To regularly review supplier and sourcing programmes, to monitor performance and recognise & resolve any potential discrepancies before they arise

**Electronics Buyer**
**Essential Skills/Experience/Qualifications;**:

- Strong experience with purchasing principles and practices, with an in depth understanding of purchasing methods, systems, and approaches
- Ability to navigate an MRP procurement system with a proven successful record of negotiating prices, deliveries, and contracts
- A clear thinker, with a logical and objective approach to resolve work-related problems effectively

**Electronics Buyer**
**Desirable Skills/Experience/Qualifications;**:

- Previous experience of managing supplier of mainly component level parts but also experience with service providers
- Previous work within electronic component purchasing, and an understanding of electrical sourcing requirements
