**Maintenance Assistant £10.42 per hour - 40 Hours Per Week**
As a Maintenance Assistant, you’ll be providing a vital support to our fast-paced Hotel, you will be supporting the Maintenance Manager and the team looking after the following;
- Day to day repairs
- Preventative maintenance for the bedroom investment, as well as public areas and helping as a Linen Porter in the Housekeeping Department for 2 days a week.
- Energy efficiency
- Waste/recycling disposal
- Compliance with health and safety, and fire regulations
As the Maintenance Assistant, you’ll be reporting direct to the Maintenance Manager and supporting the general day to day maintenance of the building, as well as statutory compliance.
The maintenance team may also take on some smaller projects in house.
This is a 7-day operation, therefore you will be required to work 5 days out of 7, to include evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays. Flexibility with on call duties as required.
**The Person**:
- Experience in a hospitality maintenance environment.
- You must possess a practical working knowledge of all aspects of health & safety and fire regulations within a hotel property environment
- The ability to support the demands of hands on maintenance and follow hotel guidelines and procedures.
- A skill-based qualification such as Plumbing, Electrical, Carpentry would be beneficial
- Ability to deal with a wide range of basic maintenance repairs
- Hands on approach
- Good proven organisation and planning skills gained through previous experience
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office is required
