This role is deemed as a Certified role under the PRA & UK Financial Conduct Authority - Individual Accountabilities Regulations and may require the role holder to hold mandatory regulatory qualifications or the minimum qualifications to meet internal company benchmarks.

As a Barclays Futures Electronic Trader, you will be part of the Team looking to develop the Bank’s listed derivative algorithmic trading platform as well as managing the existing client base and prospective clients with anything execution related. The desk provides the Bank’s clients with class leading coverage acting as a conduit providing a seamless experience between them and the various services that are provided.

**What will you be doing?**
- Developing and maintaining new and existing Prime Services relationships, with a focus on Listed Derivatives Execution
- Working to develop the Algorithmic product based on the Client ask with a solid grasp of markets and trends
- Interfacing with clients and internal sponsors directly, servicing and providing insight based on the clients’ execution requirement
- Interfacing with clients on a day-to-day basis serving there execution needs with a focus on growing the Bank’s footprint and evolving the product
- Comprehending the commercial element of the business with a focus on growing existing, prospective client revenues
- Working with the existing coverage team to service the Bank’s clients
- Managing a book of work between client asks and product builds

**What we’re looking for**:

- An individual with a quantitative mindset some experience of Algorithms and a sold grasp of the futures venues and product characteristics
- Excellent personal/soft skills allowing them engage clients and build relationships
- An ‘Attention to detail’ to minimise execution risk when proposing/resolving issues
- Understanding of Electronic platforms across the industry and an understanding of python

**Skills that will help you in the role**:

- Product experience with listed derivatives or cash equities
- Ability to write and distribute proprietary market content to clients, including TCA
- Some programming knowledge, ideally with Python
- Experience presenting to Buy-Side clients and exposure to vendor platforms utilised across the industry

**Where will you be working?**
In the heart of Canary Wharf, our headquarters at Churchill Place boasts onsite amenities such as; a gym, staff restaurant and deli bar, and is easily accessible by tube and bus links.
