Dishwasher / Kitchen Porter Wanted

Are you a reliable, hard worker who takes pride in keeping things sparkling clean? We're looking for an enthusiastic and efficient Dishwasher / Kitchen Porter to join the team at The Horseshoe Hotel

This is a vital support role within our kitchen, ensuring our chefs and front-of-house staff have the clean tools, crockery, and equipment they need to deliver a fantastic experience for our customers.

What You'll Be Doing:

- Operating and maintaining the commercial dishwashing equipment.
- Washing and sanitizing all pots, pans, plates, cutlery, glassware, and kitchen utensils by hand or machine.
- Organising and storing clean items quickly and efficiently to keep the kitchen running smoothly.
- Keeping the wash-up area, kitchen floors, and all surfaces clean, tidy, and organised throughout service.
- Removing kitchen waste and keeping bin areas and external waste storage clean.
- Supporting the kitchen team with general deep-cleaning duties as required.

What We're Looking For:
Reliability: You must be punctual and have a strong work ethic.

Speed and Efficiency: The ability to work quickly and methodically in a fast-paced environment.

Organisational Skills: The ability to sort, stack, and store items logically and keep the wash area structured.

Attention to Detail: You take pride in ensuring every item is spotless.

Team Player: A positive attitude and willingness to jump in and help wherever needed.

Physical Stamina: The role involves standing for long periods and some light lifting.

Previous experience is a bonus, but not essential—we are happy to train the right person

Please check your ability to commute, it is near enough essential to be able to drive as we approach the winter months. We are in Egton Bridge just outside of Whitby.
