Pro-Pak Foods is a major supplier of delicious ready meals to many of the UK’s leading supermarkets and convenience stores. Our company, based in Malton, North Yorkshire, has built an excellent reputation over the last 25 years. Today, our chefs, working in partnership with our customers, have created a menu of more than 200 quality meals.

We are now recruiting for a **Despatch Team Leader**. If you are looking for career progression or to try something new this role could be for you. You should be able to work as part of our busy despatch team.

**Main duties include**:

- Lead the despatch operatives and manage them in line with company procedures
- Complete accurate stock counts daily and as required and report anomalies. Distribute stock counts daily to all relevant employees including operations and planning
- Investigate stock discrepancies and provide thorough and accurate investigation and resolution of anomalies
- Deliver continuous improvements and be accountable for their own work and that of their team
- Work on stock control systems such as Sage
- Use computer skills to update stock on both MS Word and Excel programmes
- Maintain traceability of intake and ensure quality is a key focus
- Load and unload deliveries
- Carry out intake checks
- Ensure raw materials are available to the production teams when required and organise timely delivery
- Oversee collection and drop off at offsite storage facilities via the company HGV Wagon

**Skills and experience required**:

- Fork lift truck experience is an advantage but not essential however the applicant must undertake internal FLT training if successful
- Ability to work to deadlines
- Strong leadership skills and team organisation
- Able to organise, prioritise and communicate openly
- A good understanding of English and maths is required. Completing required documentation accurately and with attention to detail is essential for this role. An intermediate level of computer skills is also essential
