Event Planner

The Grove Venue is an events space located in the heart of Blackburn. Our wedding and events venue offers a stunning, versatile space perfect for creating unforgettable experiences. Our venue combines elegant architecture with a range of versatile spaces, providing the ideal backdrop for weddings, corporate events, and special celebrations. With a range of spaces we can accommodate intimate gatherings or large celebrations.

We are now searching for a highly motivated **Event Planner** to join our team at The Grove. This is an exciting and fast paced role where you will be responsible for managing all aspects of wedding / corporate events from initial client consultation to the day of execution. Your role includes coordinating with clients to understand their vision, budgeting, and creating detailed timelines for the event day. You will manage venue arrangements, vendor relationships, including catering, florists, and entertainment, while ensuring all services meet the venue's standards. Additionally, you will oversee event setup, troubleshoot any last-minute issues, and provide on-site support to ensure a smooth and memorable experience for the clients and their guests. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills are essential to succeed in this role.

The role will also entail managing our social media platforms for the Grove Venue. **Social Media Marketing experience is essential. **Your role will include creating, curating, and scheduling content across platforms like Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn, ensuring that all posts align with the brand’s voice and objectives. You will also engage with followers, respond to comments, and foster community interaction. Additionally, you’ll analyse performance metrics to track the success of campaigns, adjust strategies based on insights, and stay up-to-date with social media trends.

**Duties**:

- Client consultations and viewings
- Vendor Management and coordination
- Manage venue arrangements, including layout, seating, and décor setup
- Organisation of a wide range of events from weddings to corporate business events
- Liaising with different clients and vendors
- Manage social media activity across key platforms including Instagram and LinkedIn to cover regular posting and engagement with customers through to managing relationships with influencers and creating/managing competitions.
- Analysis of effectiveness of digital marketing to include google analytics, traffic to website, LinkedIn and Instagram followers and engagement levels.
- Involvement in taking photos and videos for posting on social media through to assisting on professional photo and video shoots.
- General administration support and document filing

**Requirements**:

- Minimum of 2 years social media marketing experience
- Experience in Event planning
- Social media savvy, experience of various platforms their uses and profile of users
- Strong copywriting and proofing skills with attention to detail
- IT literate with experience of using PowerPoint, Word, Excel, etc.
- Confident and resilient. Comfortable presenting to large groups
- Highly driven self-starter, with positive can-do attitude and proven project management skills
- Creative thinker able to challenge conventional thinking and able to articulate ideas.

This is a Monday-Friday Role with some weekends needed

Pay: £24,000.00 per year
