Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our employees, visitors, and assets. Your role will involve monitoring surveillance systems, patrolling premises, and enforcing security protocols.

**Responsibilities**:

- Conduct regular patrols of the premises to ensure the safety and security of all individuals and property
- Monitor CCTV cameras and alarm systems to detect any suspicious activities or potential threats
- Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, and incidents, taking appropriate action as necessary
- Maintain accurate records of daily activities, including incident reports, security logs, and shift reports
- Enforce access control procedures by verifying identification and granting or denying entry as required
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting employees, visitors, and vendors with inquiries or concerns
- Collaborate with local law enforcement agencies when necessary to address security issues or incidents
- Conduct investigations into security breaches or policy violations as directed by management
- Assist with the implementation of loss prevention strategies to minimize theft or damage to company property
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and new technologies related to security operations

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as a Security Officer or in a similar role is preferred
- Knowledge of CCTV systems, surveillance techniques, and access control procedures is highly desirable
- First Aid/CPR certification is a plus
- Strong observational skills with the ability to identify potential security risks or threats
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations
- Physical fitness and the ability to stand/walk for extended periods of time
- High school diploma or equivalent is required; additional training in security management is a plus

**Salary**: £11.44-£11.80 per hour

Expected hours: 41 per week
