This is a great opportunity to join a newly established team with a major Insurance Broker, who are responsible for the Accounting and Settlement duties through the investigation and resolution of aged and or complex matters.

For this senior role you will need significant experience of accounting and settlement activities within the Insurance Industry to be successful within this role.

This new team has the opportunity to get involved in complex and interesting issues and to resolve them which will make a significant impact on the Business, earning you significant recognition.

**As an Insurance Accounting Specialist your responsibilities will include**:

- Full responsibility for own workload, including definition of cases and associated issues, with a high degree of autonomy
- Management of the most complex client base, which includes unique lines of business and program structures
- Partner with the Business to support with root cause analysis and developing improved process and protocols to improve outcomes in the future
- Maintain a strong focus on the resolution of issues for clients and the Business
- Liaise with internal colleagues to ensure a co-ordinated approach is taken
- Ensure clear audit trail especially regarding complex and/or historic matters
- Support wider activities including quarter review of potential financial exposures, delivery of key performance targets or other significant business objectives

**To be successful as an Insurance Accounting Specialist you will demonstrate**:

- Significant experience of Insurance accounting and settlement activities.
- Record of successful financial remediation or issue resolution including commercial negotiation.
- Positive attitude, willingness to offer and execute ideas and solutions to enhance processes within a changing environment.
- Consistently provide guidance by mentoring and/or training colleagues.
- Data management and analytical skills.
