**Overview**:
LINKnet are seeking an enthusiastic Event Volunteer in Edinburgh. It is perfect for someone with a passion for creating memorable experiences for international communities The Event Volunteer will work closely with staff at LINKnet on the day of the event to ensure smooth operation. The commitment will be 2 days a week for three months. This is a non-paid position that offers valuable experience and the chance to make a positive impact in our community.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience in event planning or coordination.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure.
- Creative problem-solving abilities.
- A proactive approach and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

**Responsibilities**:
Pre-Event Planning: Assist with pre-event preparations such as contacting venues, making phone calls to confirm reservations with venues, coordinating with contributors, making flyers, organising materials.

Transportation or Supply Runs: Support events on the day. If the event requires physical setup, the volunteer can help with errands like picking up refreshments, decorations, or equipment among other supplies.

Registration and Greeting: The volunteer can assist with event registration and event feedback form, checking in attendees, and providing a warm welcome to participants.

Photography or Videography: Check with participants for photo consents, and make use of photography or videography skills to capture moments during the event for future promotions and documentation.

Language Translation: If the event serves a diverse community, a volunteer who is fluent in another language could assist with translation services.

Post-Event Follow-Up: Help with post-event tasks, such as archiving the event, collecting feedback forms, or compiling feedback summary.

Administrative Tasks: Assist with administrative work such as data entry, filing, or document organisation for event planning and coordination.

Virtual Assistance: In some cases, volunteers can assist with tasks like moderating online events or managing event-related content on social media or websites.

Outreach and Sponsorship: In some cases, volunteers can engage in outreach efforts to secure event sponsors or partnerships that can benefit the event financially or logístically.

Please note that this is an unpaid volunteer position. We value your time and commitment, and we will provide you with the necessary training and support to excel in your role as a Volunteer.
