Apprentice Greenkeeper

We are looking for am Apprentice Greenkeeper to join our team on a full-time basis.

The hotel offers a peaceful and tranquil setting in the Hertfordshire countryside. The hotel boasts 80 bedrooms, all comfortable and contemporary styled and an onsite leisure club which includes a fitness suite, steam room, sauna and an indoor swimming pool as well as a beauty Spa.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the team and work along side 3 other greenkeepers, under the Head Greenkeeper.

THE ROLE:

- Maintain the golf course quality, ensuring the companies high standards are delivered
- Efficiently operate all types of machinery used in the golf course maintenance industry
- Service, maintain and repair damaged areas of the course and equipment
- Be prepared and able to assist in any area of the department that requires support.
- Ensure that the “Departments’ Standards of Procedures” are complete, up to date and read, understood and used by all department staff
- To be aware of, and comply with, statutory and company requirements regarding the work place such as health and safety, hygiene, fire prevention and licensing. To also be accountable for security in the department

THE RIGHT PERSON:
Someone who is willing to learn and gain a qualification
- Driving License due to location

This will be 40 hours over 5 out of 7 days. Salary to be discussed and overtime payable.
