**Title: HGV Driver / LGV Cat C+E (Class 1) Driver** The Best Connection are working with our Middlesbrough based client to source additional** C+E (Class 1) DAY SHIFT Trunk Drivers **for their expanding operation. There are on going as well as Ad hoc positions available The role: - Starting at the Middlesbrough hub you will be driving across the country to deliver containers using skeleton trailers. - There is a minimum of "Hand-balling" involved - The Safe and Timely Operation of a C+E (Class one) vehicle - All vehicle checks and reporting of defects. - Achieving delivery slots - Using website-based delivery scheduling - Completion of delivery notes and associated paperwork - C+E (Class One) Licence - In date CPC and DIGI Card - experience using "skelly" trailers Rewards: - ** £13.74 per hour (PAYE) for all hours worked**: - Saturday and Sunday are part of standard working week Benefits of working for The Best Connection: - On-going assignments - Holiday entitlement - Personal accident insurance - Excellent rates of pay - On-line Payslips - Pension provision **Benefits & Requirements**: - Hourly rate as above (not age dependent) - 28 days Paid Annual Leave pro-rata for PAYE (inclusive of statutory holiday) - CPC Driver Qualification Card - Digi-Card Required - Licence - Category C+E - Requirement to Understand Tachos - Canteen - Overtime Available - Possible permanent position following a successful trial period
