**Knowledge**

Knowledge of the functions and governance arrangements of local government and the respective roles of executive and non-executive members and of officers.

Understanding of the political nature of local government and the need for confidentiality and sensitivity when dealing with issues for cabinet members.

Knowledge of the key challenges and opportunities facing the Council including an understanding of current local and national policy issues.

Basic knowledge of research methodologies

**Qualifications**

**& Experience**

Experience of providing PA, executive, research or administrative support services

Experience of preparing briefing papers, reports and/or correspondence

**Experience**:

- personal Asistent: 3 years (required)
- Executive Support Assistant: 5 years (required)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From £11.50 per hour

Schedule:

- No weekends
