**Purpose**

As a Support Worker, working closely with daycentre colleagues you’ll be responsible for providing a warm, engaging and safe space for older /vulnerable adults. You will provide compassionate person-centred care and support to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those using the service by achieving their stated outcomes.

**Key Responsibilities**

**As a Support Worker, your role will include**:

- Supporting clients with daily routines in a person-centred, client focused way.
- Providing emotional support, companionship, and encouragement to engage with others.
- Assisting with low-level mobility (e.g., walking, gentle support, wheelchair assistance).
- Supporting care needs where required, maintaining privacy, dignity and respect.
- Working with clients on a one-to-one or group basis.
- Facilitating or helping to deliver individual and group activities (e.g., games, crafts, music, reminiscence).
- Encouraging and supporting social engagement to reduce loneliness and isolation.
- Helping serve meals and refreshments and clearing up afterwards.
- Keeping the environment safe, clean, and welcoming — including tasks like loading/unloading dishwashers and laundry machines.
- Maintaining accurate records and reporting any incidents, concerns, or safeguarding issues to your line manager promptly.
- Working closely with carers, family members and clients to achieve stated outcomes. Working closely with team members and external professionals to achieve stated outcomes.
- Upholding equality, dignity, and diversity principles in all aspects of your work.

**Other Duties**:

- Adhering to the Code of Conduct and health and safety legislation.
- Upholding the organisation’s philosophy, policies, and commitment to equal opportunities. Always maintaining confidentiality, privacy and GDPR guidelines.
- Performing other duties as required by senior management, commensurate with the role. To be conversant with all Enfield Carer Centre services and their promotion as required.
