**Responsibilities of a Holiday Camp Assistant**:
- To ensure all children are happy and safe whilst having fun yourself
- To work closely alongside the Holiday Camp Manager and Head Office team.
- Build customer loyalty, ensure a high level of care is maintained at all times and to be aware of The String’s Club Ofsted policies and procedures.
**Essential**:
- To make every child who joins us super special
- Have experience working in childcare with primary school aged children
- Be flexible, friendly and passionate about working with children
- Be highly organised and able to effectively assist a large group of children
- A “go to” attitude and a willingness to “go that extra mile”
- Over the age of 18 and have the right to work in the UK
**Desirable Qualities**:
- Educated to a minimum NVQ Level 2 childcare or equivalent
- Hold an up to date DBS check that is registered with the update service
**Locations include**:
- Birmingham
- Harborne, Sutton Coldfield
- North London: Hampstead, Islington, Muswell Hill, Walthamstow
- South London: Tooting, Brockley, Greenwich, Dulwich
The Strings Club is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all team members to share this commitment. Applicants will be required to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including at least two checks with past employers (character references are now being accepted), the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS), as well as child protection training.
As part of our Safer Recruitment process you’ll be asked to attend an online induction. All team members will be required to attend a mandatory and paid pre-Holiday Camp online training too.
