Production Controller

Position Summary
Magellan Aerospace Blackpool has an exciting opportunity for a Production Controller
Full Time Permanent Contract
**40 hours per week**: Mon - Thu 7:30am - 4:30pM/Fri 7:30am - 1:30pm
**Job location**: Blackpool Business Park, Amy Johnson Way, Blackpool, FY4 2RP

The Production Controller reports directly to the Operations Support Team Lead and acts as the coordinator between Production Scheduling & Production. The Production Controller must ensure that any risks or constraints that directly affect production and on time delivery are reported to senior management, in a timely manner.

Essential Responsibilities
Produce Production Schedules and Drumbeat Reports in Line with manufacturing lead times.
Review and assess all future forecast orders up to a 52 week visibility and report on any adverse changes in demand.
Create and launch new orders into production in line with the intercompany order book and MPS plan.
Provide analysis and escalation of any constraints daily and provide capacity and doable Plan analysis through existing schedules and drumbeat reports.
Create and maintain a production plan and report on any potential deadline risks to senior management daily.
Work with the Production manager to ensure on time completion, in order to meet scheduled deliver dates.
Provide reports and continued analysis of the production process to senior management, based on their requirements.
Communicate with sub-contractors to asses any potential issues and ensure the best turnaround times in relation to treatments.
Maintain and assess raw material requirements and communicate any potential shortfalls to the procurement team.
Maintain a high level of efficiency and accuracy while performing multiple duties.
Work with a minimum amount of supervision and maintain a good level of productivity at all times sharing knowledge within the team to promote circulation of experience.
Work in a safe manner in compliance with company Health & Safety policy. Report and log Health & Safety incidents that occur.
Any other reasonable duties required by management in support of the business.
Position Requirements
**Academic**:
Good standard of education GCSE grade C or above
**Experience**:
Operational experience within manufacturing environment with good understanding of deadline requirements and customer demands
**Key Competencies**:
Good understanding of Production Processes and various methods.
Other skills/Abilities
**Skills**:
Good I.T. skills and a good understanding and working knowledge of MS Office Suite, in particular MS Excel
**Abilities**:
Excellent communication skills, team player, ability to deliver to time and quality standard
**Personal Attributes**:
Conscientious, good interpersonal skills, flexible in approach to work
