HR & Learning and Development Assistant

**We’re looking to appoint an L&D Assistant as part of the People Services team as we continue to invest in and enhance our greatest asset: our people.**

While L&D will take up majority of your working day, you will also have the opportunity to develop further in assisting the People Services department with generalist HR duties. You will have the freedom to manage your workload effectively with a focus oncontinuous improvement through all you do, with full support from the management team.
With continuous training, supervision, and guidance, you will be responsible for all L&D activities across the Group, including maintaining and developing the rapidly evolving employee development academy - an internal development, upskilling and successionprogram - and supporting programs that contribute to business objectives by improving people performance. This role fundamentally will assist in the organisation’s success through the training, coaching and development of its people.
Within your new role, you will make an immediate contribution to the delivery and development of the programme of learning and development activity. You will support in learning activity design, promotion, delivery, and evaluation.
By joining our team, you will have the opportunity to develop your own professional capabilities and skillset as a Learning Specialist, gaining significant experience in an exciting and evolving L&D HR function.
With an element of HR generalist working, you will assist the department in all people related administration and coordination tasks (i.e., new starter processes including probation reviews, referencing and reference letters, RTW checks etc.), amongst othervaried HR tasks.
The role:
- This is a permanent, full-time role. Therefore, the post-holder will be expected to work Monday to Friday 40-hours per week

Nice to haves:
- CIPD or relevant HR qualification
- Relevant L&D/Training qualification
- Experience in a HR or L&D function
- experience of delivering learning and development events and activities
- Experience of effective HR delivery
- Good knowledge of learning & development theory & practice
- Knowledge of HR practice, theory, and best practice
- Able to deliver, present and facilitate training to a range of different audiences
- An awareness of individual learning styles and the important of appealing to these in L&D delivery
