Customer Training Project Manager

We partner with governments to work together towards a common goal, defending our freedom. **Salary**: up to £58k depending on experience - Bonus of up to 21.25% - Pension contribution of up to 14% - Annual salary review - 25 days annual leave (plus holiday purchase) - Excellent career progression/development opportunities **Hybrid working pattern**: Where possible, we will seek to accommodate a blended approach to on-site and remote working, typically this could be 1-2 days in the office per week. **The opportunity**: MBDA has created its Corporate University, called the "Missile Systems University (MSU)", to sustain and further develop core capabilities for its domestic and export customers. The MSU delivers "generic" training courses on Weapon Systems and Missile Technologies,which complements Customer Services and Support, providing training courses on the use and maintenance of our MBDA products. In addition, and through partnerships with schools, universities and external bodies, the MSU offers full education programmes for export customers, starting from undergraduate level up to PhD certification. This MBDA Missile Systems University: - Provides training for all roles in the Weapon and Missile Systems domain - Shares and develops excellence - Delivers a structured and coherent approach to technical training - Enhances staff skills, performance and capabilities - Supports knowledge and know-how transfer - Develops partnerships with academia, schools and other learning bodies/entities **What you'll be doing** The primary objective of this role is to contribute to strategic MBDA programmes (Offset, Joint-Venture, Industrial partnership) by designing and delivering training courses to MBDA customers. As Customer Training Project Manager, your role will be to: - Contribute in the preparation of the documents requested in the call for tender response (Training Plan, Training Syllabus, cost estimate, etc.). - Keep the objective of cost and customers satisfaction at the forefront with any training programmes - Ensure external relationships are strong and maintained with, domestic customer and export as well as with universities, suppliers (logistics providers, training providers, etc.). - Liaise and build solid interfaced within MBDA for example across Engineering, Operations, Customer Support, Programmes, Procurement and Finance - Manage international training engineering projects (design and development of training course) - Identify learning objectives applicable to the training courses - Introduce new instructional materials and teaching methods to improve interactivity between trainers and learners - Obtain export authorisations from Ministry of Defence (MoD) with the support of International Trading Compliance Office (ITCO) department - Define and implement all the actions that provide excellent customer experience - Identify the risks that can impact the smooth running of the project and define preventive or corrective actions to avoid these risks or reduce their effects - Contribute to the development of MSU activity (development of the network of trainers, communication, etc.) **What we're looking for from you**: - Experience in a similar role where buliding Education Training paths has been key, particularly in a more technical / complex field - Military understanding is beneficial but not essential - Knowledge of the learning project cycle: - Training scoping - Training development - Plan and organise the training deployments - Experienced in established project management methodologies - Ability to influence and engage the identified stakeholders into the projects. - Experience in an international context with demonstrable achievements across cultures - Ability to travel abroad regularly throughout the year (MBDA countries/sites, Europe, South America, Asia) - Manage MBDA customers/partners and suppliers - Excellent consultancy, problem-solving, facilitation skills - Excellent PC skills - MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) - Willing/able to challenge accepted ways of working in appropriate manner - Effective and successful communicator **Our Business**: We respect new perspectives and experiences, and we value our collaborative ways of working.
