**The role**
We have a fantastic opportunity for someone to join us in the position of Income Officer (Homeowners and Market Rent) in London. Your responsibilities will include:

- To ensure the efficient and effective collection of service charges for shared ownership and leasehold
- properties, as well as collection of assured shorthold and shared ownership rents.
- Responsible for the collection of housing related debt (current and former) as directed by the Income
- Manager in line with all internal policies, procedures and process maps and legislation.
- To provide an excellent customer focused service for One Housing’s shared owners, leaseholders
- and market rented tenants.
- To provide residents with welfare benefits advice where required and identify arrears cases where
- customers need additional support and liaise with the relevant sections/agencies to ensure support is
- obtained.
- To take firm but fair action on any resident who falls into arrears, including any legal procedures and
- forfeiture of the property where necessary.
- To manage and monitor residents accounts, to take action where necessary and retain a central
- record of all communications with the residents.
- To be responsible for providing accurate information to homeowners, tenants, solicitors, legal
- representatives and mortgage lenders, in relation to the role.
- To pro-actively build excellent relationships with residents, customers and any internal or external
- stakeholders to ensure income is maximised.
- To meet all targets set and any relevant corporate objectives.
- To provide a customer service that deals with any queries promptly, clearly and accurately in a
- knowledgeable and professional way that resolves disputes and contributes positively to the customer experience.

**What you will need to succeed**
- Good communication and negotiating skills.
- Demonstrate attention to detail, accuracy and excellent organisational skills.
- Be computer literate, specifically Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Experience of working in a team to achieve high performance targets.
- Able to build effective links with all relevant stakeholders both within One Housing and externally.
- Commitment to delivering exemplary customer service.
- Able to work out of hours and at weekends as required
