We are seeking a Labourer / Housekeeping worker to join our ISO 17025-accredited testing laboratory, specialising in construction products testing. **Job Summary**

This integral role is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, organisation, and overall upkeep of the facility to support safe and efficient testing operations. You will play a key role in supporting skilled technicians by ensuring a tidy and well-organised workspace, handling stock, and assisting with basic site activities.

All relevant training will be provided.

**General**
- To support testing operations by maintaining clean, safe, and well-organised work areas.
- Carrying out such tasks and duties as directed by the Operations Manager, General Manager or Director.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Work as part of a team with technicians and/or under instruction/guidance.
- Ensure all working and communal areas are kept clean and hazard-free, including sweeping, mopping, and general site tidiness.
- Organise, maintain equipment and materials storage areas in line with safety protocols.
- Assist with stock checks, inventory control, and restocking supplies as required.
- Support the movement and setup of tools, equipment, and materials for testing or construction activities
- Empty waste bins, manage skips, and assist with waste disposal and recycling processes.
- Provide general assistance to skilled construction and testing technicians as needed.

**Knowledge, skills and experience**
- Experience in a construction or industrial environment desirable.
- Good awareness of health and safety practices.
- Ability to use basic hand tools preferred but not essential.
- Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills.
- Physical fitness and ability to undertake manual handling tasks.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated.
